Unified Voice Messaging Features

e-forward TM with Name Delivery   Provides Voice Mail to e-mail as a compressed .wav file. If the calling party’s name is in the AP Calling Name Database, the name and number appear in the message header.
Phone Central Interface   Phone Central is a PC desktop application which allows you to play messages, maintain personal settings, manage daily and pager notification settings, and maintain Voice Mail distribution lists.
Web Page Administration   Via Web interface, you can retrieve Voice Mail messages, configure personal settings, manage distribution lists, and more.
E-Mail Only Voice Mail   All Voice Mail messages are sent to your e-mail.
Mailbox Features

Sub-Mailboxes   Up to four (4) sub-mailboxes can be configured per voice mailbox. Sub Mailboxes have private greetings and PIN numbers.
Greeting Only Sub-mailboxes   Greeting-only mailboxes play a custom greeting but do not record messages.
Multiple Greetings   Record up to ten different greetings and select the active greeting. For example, with this feature, you can record a regular greeting and an ‘out of office’ greeting.
Insert .wav Files for Greeting   You can insert a .wav file to use as your customized personal greeting.
Spanish Prompts   You can choose either the English or Spanish language for your phone interface (applies to menus and prompts that the subscriber hears).  Selection is made the first time you log into your voice mailbox but can be changed at a later time.
Recording Messages (Caller)

Busy Greeting   If a call is forwarded to Voice Mail because the line is busy, the system announces, “The party you have reached is on the phone” before playing your custom greeting.
Edit Message   Edit Message allows the calling party to listen to their message, re-record their message, append to the end of their message or to cancel the message. After the custom greeting callers will hear, “When you are finished recording, press # for further options or simply hang up”.
Out Dial (Transfer to Another Number)   This allows the caller listening to a Voice Mail greeting to transfer to another pre-programmed number. Example: “Leave a message or press ‘0’ (zero) to be connected to my cell phone”.
Out Dial Administration   Allows you to manage your own Out Dial number. You simply call the Voice Mail administration number and access the setting within their mailbox setup.
Message Tagging   When leaving messages, callers have the option to tag their message as:
Urgent – Message will be played to subscriber first (before other regular messages).
Private – Message can not be forwarded.
Acknowledge – When the message is retrieved, notification is sent back to the caller.
Record Message for Future Delivery   You have the option to record a message and schedule it for future delivery.
Retrieving Messages (Subscriber)

Undelete Messages   When you delete a voice message using the phone interface, it will not be permanently deleted until the session is closed. While retrieving messages, if you want to “undelete” a message, return to the main menu, listen to the message again, and then save or delete the message.
Envelope First   Envelope data refers to the date and time of a recorded message and the Directory Number of the calling party. This feature allows your Telco to configure Voice Mail to play the envelope data before the message.
Announce Caller   Enable or disable the announcement of the calling party’s Directory Number.
Skip To First New   Enables the system to work in conjunction with the auto login capability so that you can hear the first new message without being required to press a key on the keypad.
Full Mailbox Warning   Notifies you when your mailbox is full and warns that new messages will not be recorded until messages have been deleted from the mailbox.
Call Return   You can return the call of the person who left the Voice Mail message (without dialing the number), and then return directly to Voice Mail. Applies only to local calls.
Message Forwarding w/ Introduction   When you forward a message, this feature allows you to record an introduction to the message before it is sent to another mailbox or to a distribution list.
Message Notification Features

Pager/Phone Notification   This allows you to receive notification via pager or another phone of all voice messages, or just those marked “urgent”.
Continuous Paging   The Voice Mail system will continuously page a subscriber until all new messages have been retrieved.
Sequential Notification   Allows you to configure your service to attempt to notify a series of phone numbers when you receive new messages.
System Features

Private & Shared Distribution Lists   Allows you to forward or send messages to a distribution list. The system supports up to 99 lists per Voice Mail customer.
Automatically Forward Message to Distribution List   Allows you to configure your mailbox to automatically forward all voice mail messages to a distribution list. Every message left in the voice mailbox will forward upon receipt.
IVR Interface to Manage Distribution Lists   You can conveniently manage your private Voice Mail distribution lists via telephone interface.
Auto Login   This allows you to call the Voice Mail system from the phone subscribed to Voice Mail and not be prompted for a mailbox number and password. You can enable or disable the feature.
Short Message Suppression   Typical configuration announces to the Voice Mail subscriber, “caller did not leave a message” when a message less than 2 seconds is recorded. If the calling number is “unknown”, no message is recorded and no message waiting indication is placed on the line.
Support for Multiple Time Zones   The Voice Mail system supports customers in multiple time zones.
